Inspired by the powerful story of the Good Shepherd and His sheep in John 10, the song is a heartfelt declaration of Kingsley’s faith and trust in Jesus Christ. In verse 11, Jesus declares, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” These words inspired Kingsley to reflect on the love, sacrifice and faithfulness of Christ and to share that message through reggae.

Good Shepherd carries a vibrant reggae rhythm created by Asha D and the Artikal Band, based in France. The vocals were mixed in South London by Jaja Wray (Razz Beats), bringing together an international musical collaboration with a distinctly Caribbean and Gospel-rooted sound.
